Project aims to design and develop an expense management solution aimed at addressing the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Businesses are struggling to track and identify errors in handling their expenses.

Picking Up The Pieces
We have sent out surveys understand the challenges that every business is facing at the moment. We targeted fintechs and banks for this survey.
RESEARCH
User Interview
Following the survey, we conducted 12 in-depth interviews with SME owners and finance managers to gain more insights into their expense management practices.
Key Findings
Centralizing funds using corporate cards
Prefer to have quick entry of expenses.
Real-time expense tracking was highly valued by finance managers.
Access to monthly and weekly financial reports
High risk of manual errors

Identifying Usability Issues
Prototypes for wireframes is created and given the time constraints of the project, internal testing was conducted to ensure that the proposed design is accessible and easy to use.
Multiple rounds led to multiple iteration and refinement.

Positive results and next steps
The project has had a positive impact on the business by securing contracts with two of the biggest banks in the Middle East.
Adopted by 2 corporate clients within the first month of release, managing expenses for over 1,000 employees collectively.
Processing times for requests and reimbursements reduced by 60%
Real-time insights have reduced overspending by 30%
